I've known about Podcasting for quite some time, but I've never really done it. One thing that's needed, obviously, is the proper audio equipment, which includes one or more mics, some kind of sound isolation product (ideally), and proper software. Audacity seems to be the most popular audio software for podcasting purposes, because it's free.
Podbean is one potential provider of hosting for podcasts, crowdfunding for raising the funds needed for ongoing operations, and so forth.
